My name is Irina Appanah, founder of THE ART OF TASTE. I’ve always loved cooking delicious treats for my family — and now I’m happy to cook for you too. Raised by a professionally trained chef mother and a father passionate about cooking, I learned to cook and bake from a young age.
After over 12 years in the tourism industry as a Mauritius Travel Expert, my passion for baking grew stronger, especially after becoming a mum. This inspired me to create a home-based confectionery specialising in Eastern European recipes. Encouraged by family, friends, and colleagues — my very first clients — THE ART OF TASTE was born on 29th March 2023.
- The name "THE ART OF TASTE" and slogan "we eat deliciously - we live deliciously" came from my Dad who is fonder of my foods. It reflects the wide range of dishes, traditional flavours and family recipes passed from generations to generations.
After another trip to Dubai, we discovered and fell in love with premium date products. Since 2025 THE ART OF TASTE has become an importer and distributor of ChocoDubai and Kingdom Dates products from the UAE, offering a curated range of Chocolate Coated Dates with Nuts, Gift Boxes of Dates with Nuts, Mamoul Cookies with dates filling, Energy Dates Balls, Dates spread, Organic Dates Syrup, Organic Dates powder, Dubai Kunafa Pistachio chocolate. - Our dates products are competitively priced and designed to meet the demands of customers.
